PokerTracker 4 Alternatives in 2026: HUDs and Bankroll Trackers
Alternatives to PokerTracker 4, split honestly: another HUD for online play, or a tracker for the live sessions and bankroll PokerTracker does not cover.
By PokerRoll ·
PokerTracker 4 is desktop software for online players. It imports the hand histories your poker sites write, shows a HUD with statistics on your opponents while you play, and lets you analyse every hand afterwards. It runs on Windows and Mac, is actively maintained (version 4.19 came out in August 2026) and is sold as a one-time licence.
That makes "PokerTracker 4 alternative" two different searches. Some players want another HUD. Others want what PokerTracker does not do: live sessions, a phone app, a bankroll you can see at a glance. This page covers both, and says plainly which app is which.
Two kinds of PokerTracker 4 alternative
- Another HUD and hand database. If you play online and want statistics on your opponents, the real alternative is another desktop tracker. Hold'em Manager 3 is the other big one; Hold'em Manager and PokerTracker have belonged to the same company, Max Value Software, since 2014. Other HUD tools such as Hand2Note and DriveHUD exist too; we have not compared them here.
- A bankroll tracker. If what you actually need is your results across live and online play, by session, stake and format, on your phone, a bankroll tracker does that and PokerTracker does not. PokerRoll, Poker Analytics, Poker Bankroll Tracker and Pokerbase are in this group.
Many online players use one of each: a HUD for the hands, a bankroll tracker for the money.
Why players look for a PokerTracker 4 alternative
From PokerTracker's own product pages and documentation:
- It does not track live poker. The documentation is built around importing online hand histories. We found no page on entering casino sessions by hand, and no bankroll ledger for deposits and withdrawals.
- There is no mobile app. It is a Windows and Mac program.
- The cost adds up. A licence costs $64.99 to $159.99 depending on games and stakes, with one year of updates. After that, updates need an optional yearly support plan from $44.99 to $99.99; without it the software keeps working but stops updating.
- Small Stakes licences are capped. They cover cash games up to NL/PL 0.25/0.50 and tournaments up to a $22 buy-in.
- GGPoker blocks live HUDs. On one of the largest online networks, hands can only be imported and reviewed after play.

1. PokerRoll: for the live sessions and bankroll PokerTracker does not track
PokerRoll is our app, and it is not a HUD. It does not import hand histories or show statistics on your opponents, so it does not replace PokerTracker for online hand analysis.
What it does is the part PokerTracker leaves out. You log sessions, live with a timer that records rebuys, add-ons and bounties as they happen, or online after the fact, and PokerRoll keeps your bankroll, profit, ROI and hourly rate on your phone and in a full web app. Multi-day tournaments, satellite tickets and 16 currencies are covered, and PokeAI answers questions about your own results.
If you play live, or play online and want the money side in one place across sites, PokerRoll is the right tool next to a HUD, or instead of one if you do not need opponent statistics.

2. Hold'em Manager 3: the other big HUD
Hold'em Manager 3 is the direct alternative for online players: a HUD and hand database with a similar licence model, $65 to $160 once with optional yearly support. It can import a PokerTracker 4 or Hold'em Manager 2 database, so moving your hand history is possible. After its trial it keeps working for free at micro-stakes, which PokerTracker does not.
Its own pages list Windows requirements only, and it comes from the same company as PokerTracker, so do not expect a very different approach. Like PokerTracker, it does not track live sessions or a bankroll.

Who should stay with PokerTracker 4
Stay if you play online and use the HUD: no bankroll tracker replaces statistics on your opponents or per-hand analysis. Stay too if you are on a Mac, since Hold'em Manager 3's pages list Windows only, or if you already own a licence and do not need new site support. PokerTracker is actively maintained.
How to combine or switch
- Keep PokerTracker for the hands, add a tracker for the money. This is the most common setup: the HUD analyses your play, the bankroll tracker shows your results across sites and live sessions.
- Switching HUDs? Hold'em Manager 3 imports a PokerTracker 4 database.
- Want your PokerTracker history in a bankroll tracker? Poker Analytics imports PokerTracker 3 and 4 data. PokerRoll cannot import yet; start from your current bankroll as a deposit and log sessions from today.
The comparison of seven bankroll tracker apps covers the mobile trackers in more depth, and live vs online poker bankroll tracking explains why the two kinds of play need different records.
